Diane Illerbrun

Member of the Board

Diane (nee Wadleigh) first came to Rosebud in 1974 as a weekend camper, at the invitation of her Calgary Jr. High teacher. After several more weekends, adding a few week long summer arts camps (music, drawing, pottery, canoeing, hiking in Horseshoe Canyon, odd coloured food adventures, sleeping on the roof under stars), she was an honourary Rosebuddy.

Diane married Garth Illerbrun in ‘82, they both became frequent visitors to theatre and music events and workshops, as well as continuing many now lifelong friendships with fellow Rose-hearts.

Their involvement has included:

  • Diane helping in the stitching of costumes at both Rosebud Theatre and Canadian Badlands Passion Play
  • Garth (Sr. Petroleum Technologist) building on expansions of the Rosebud Mercantile
  • Both serving two double terms on Rosebud School of the Arts Board of Governors (Chairman)
  • Setting up a scholarship to support budding costumers and technical background students, and full fans of the legendary sticky toffee pudding

Diane and Garth are looking forward to continued and innovative ways to support the unique community of their beloved Rosebud.
